Original Sofubi made in collaboration with my friend Bagger43
After months of hard work I am thrilled to finally unveil this original line of sofubi figures made in collaboration with my friend Dennis Brown. The figures stand approximately 7 inches tall and are made out of soft vinyl.
We floated the idea of making toys all the way back in 2015! I met Dennis at CTN and thought his work was badass so I modeled one of his characters. That opened the door to future projects and toys were the ultimate way to collaborate. The only challenge was finding free time between other personal projects. That time came back in December when he started drawing concepts and as soon as he picked the best ones, then I started modeling away! Each character took roughly 50 hours to complete which was hard to sneak in between a full-time job.
The three pictures above are the actual painted vinyl figures. They are rad :) Below is all of the digital work we sent off for molding and casting.

DesignerCon is next weekend and for the show I wanted to make a way for everyone to be able to check out the sofubi vinyls that I made with @bags43 even if you can't make it to Anaheim. The solution is to feature them in AR! If you go to my instagram and slide over to the filters tab, you can preview the toys in augmented reality. If you're on a phone right now, you can just follow this link Team B in AR
